How To Host The ULTIMATE Super Bowl Party
Anyone who knows my family, knows we’re pretty much obsessed with the Seahawks. We both grew up rooting for them even when they weren’t a championship winning team. The first time they went to the Super Bowl was amazing for us, granted they lost, it was still a dream come true to see them play. I still hear Steelers fan try to smack talk about that game. But let’s maintain the mentality that we can do it no matter what! Last year, when they went to the Super Bowl and creamed the Denver Broncos, we ended up being a very happy home. A happy home with a few new holes in the ceiling. I got over it pretty quick. Okay, before I go any further, I have to do the legal mumbo jumbo disclosure. I may get some fractions of a penny if you buy something after clicking on my links and I did get a free décor pack that you’ll see in a few paragraphs.
So now, we’re on our way back! I absolutely am stoked. I’ve got a ton of my gear I wear every game (superstitious much?) and my new jersey! I rock my 12 socks, Richard Sherman jersey (he’s my boy), jewelry and hair bows. You could say I wear my pride on my sleeves.
I’m excited for the celebrations to entail this year on February 1st. Of course, I’m busting it Beast Mode style to make this an amazing day. For that I need to make sure I have all the necessities and décor. So obvious I’m a hostess. Needing to make sure everything is just right of course. I’ve found some delicious recipes that will be sure to please. First up is a Mushroom Pizza with Sausage and Fresh Thyme from Sara at Happy and Humble. I LOVE pizza. Next I have a Super-Easy Crock-Pot Super Bowl Swedish Meatballs from my dear Amee at Inspired Housewife and she has a little smokies recipe because you can’t party with out those! My blogging bestie, Cajun at Blooming in Bedlam, has a Lemony Mushroom Chicken Chili with a side of Jalepeno Cheddar Cornbread. I also got a delicious Easy Onion Appetizer from Jill at Ripped Jeans & Bifocals. Now for your delicious desserts. The best recipes for game day are the ones you can make ahead of time and are simple. I have a yummy Chewy Rice Krispie Treats recipe that can be made the day before and easily changed for a fun theme. I’ll be making blue and green ones for our game day celebration. My friend Lauren at Working Mom Magic has The BEST Flourless Chocolate Cake. Oh and DON’T for get your beverages. I’m a little bias and will be drinking a lot of beer. Audrey will have her juice cups. But of course, for you wine connoisseurs, my friend Joanna at Motherhood & Merlot has a weekly wine review. Whether you like white, red or wine, she has it for you! Plus, you’ll need a fancy wine glass or beer mug for you and I know where to get it.
Now time for some décor. My friend Shannon, owner of Flip Chick Designs and writer at Flip Chick Designs Blog has created some amazing printables for your Super Bowl party. You could win your own décor even! Just enter below in the Rafflecopter and in the comment section, let me know if you’re Team Seahawks or Team Patriots. Remember, enjoy it safely! Oh, and GO HAWKS!
