Spring has sprung. Birds are chirping, sun is shining and flowers are blooming. I have been wanting to have flowers in our yard since we got the house. Took me 8 years but it’s happening. In between our house and our neighbor’s was this HIDEOUS bush […]

I pray for the women who raised us. I pray for their happiness. I pray for their health. I pray for their well being. I pray for their sanity. It takes an immense amount of strength to let go of your life for another’s.
I pray for the women who never held a child as their own. I pray for their strength to be patient and wait to see God’s plan for them. I pray that they don’t feel resentful or angry from a loss. Hannah, the mother of Samuel, wife to Elkanah, prayed for a child. She wasn’t able to give her husband one though until she went to the temple. She gave it up to the Lord and in return he blessed her with the miracle of motherhood.
I pray for the Aunts who watched over us as their own. For our grandmothers that showed us how we will always love our children even after they’ve grown.
I pray for the stepmoms and guardians who are filling a new role. I pray for the mothers that adopted a child that needed to know love and a warm hug. To fill a spot and take on such a great role is amazing. To tell a child, “I want you as my own and will love you so.” I pray you create a bond that isn’t created from birth.
I pray for the mothers who are doing it alone. Not everyone has your strength.
I pray for the families that spend countless hours and dollars to conceive from the miracles of science.
I pray for the mothers who are expecting whether their first or last. I pray you appreciate every tiny and even horrible moment of your pregnancy.
I pray for the working mothers, that they may provide for their families. I pray for the mothers home with their children, that they know they’re appreciated.
A mother isn’t always the one who birthed you. Sometimes it’s a Grandmother, Aunt, other relatives or an adoptive mother.
I pray for my own mother. She raised me to be strong and loving. Thank you for everything you’ve given me and taught me. Especially thank you for my good looks. Thank you for being the best Meemaw and I’m cool with being the second favorite child. Molly earned her title.
I pray for my Mother-in-law. Thank you for raising Jake. Thank you for loving me like your own and making me your favorite child.
Thank a mother for showing you love.
Happy Mother’s Day from the Baby (Audrey) the Bloodhound (Tara) and the Boozer (Alyssa).
